Insurance Technologies Announces Support for the Microsoft experience Insurance Initiative

Orlando, FL

ORLANDO, FL (May 22, 2005) –At this year's ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum in Orlando, Florida, Insurance Technologies Corporation, creator of ForeSight™ announced its support for experience Insurance, an initiative from Microsoft for the Insurance industry. Insurance Technologies, a leading global provider of core insurance industry products and point of sale and illustration capabilities, committed to providing groundbreaking and innovative solutions using Microsoft technology.

Insurance Technologies has been using Microsoft technologies since its inception in 1995, deploying ForeSight™ first on a windows platform, and then on the web. ForeSight is now a single code base that can be deployed as both a web and desktop system. When an insurance manufacturer chooses ForeSight, their unique requirements are configured in the system. Field users or home office users can then access the functionality either as a web application, or based on the appropriate permissions, they can download ForeSight to run completely disconnected from the web. When they reconnect, the system automatically updates any code changes that occurred, and it gives the user an option to synchronize their saved cases. “Microsoft has made it possible for us to provide this groundbreaking capability,” said David Fenimore, Sr. VP of Product Development. “Their tools have allowed us to successfully deliver value to the insurance industry.”

This revolutionary capability gives insurance providers’ unparalleled flexibility to deploy point of sale capabilities. It can save carriers millions of dollars by consolidating their web and desktop systems. Furthermore, it simplifies agents’ selling practices by supporting their preferred method of selling, connected to the web or disconnected. Leveraging Microsoft technology, Insurance Technologies has brought capabilities to the market that will quickly become a functionality standard, ultimately improving the way insurance is sold.

“We are pleased to be working with Insurance Technologies and are encouraged by their support for the experience Insurance initiative,” said Kevin Kelly, managing director for Insurance at Microsoft’s Financial Services Group. “The ForeSight solution is transforming and expanding the reach of the point-of-sales-and-service environment, resulting in better customer and employee experiences."
