The Coming Revolution in Life Customer Acquisition
In December 2013 and January 2014 Strategy Meets Action (SMA), in partnership with LOMA Resource and sponsored by Insurance Technologies, conducted a research study on how Life and Annuity insurers are preparing for a new age of customer acquisition. The study addressed how L&A insurers are leveraging innovation and technology in their marketing and distribution areas to acquire new customers. The scope of the study included all lines of business for life and annuities and covered marketing campaigns, distribution management, and sales processes such as needs analysis, illustrations, and the submission of the application.
"The Coming Revolution in Life Customer Acquisition" white paper provides a synopsis of SMA's analysis based on survey results from 197 life and annuity insurance professionals representing the full range of lines of business including term and permanent life, annuities, employee benefits, long-term care, A&H/disability insurance, and others. It provides additional insights and identifies key opportunities for life and annuity insurers seeking to improve customer acquisition and grow their businesses by leveraging technology-based solutions.
